How to use Fluromed T Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

How Fluromed T Eye Drop works

Fluromed T Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Tobramycin and Fluorometholone. Tobramycin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Fluorometholone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy.

Fluromed T Eye Drop is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

Fluromed T Eye Drop is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Fluromed T Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Fluromed T Eye Drop is used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections.
It should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film, two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
Do not apply it to broken skin and avoid getting it in your eyes, nose or mouth.
Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
It may cause temporary burning, itching or a redness at application site. This is usually mild. Consult your doctor if you experience a more severe reaction.
Inform your doctor if your skin problem hasn't improved after seven days of treatment.

Wash your hands before using Fluromed T Eye Drop to avoid contamination, and do not touch the tip of a dropper. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the Fluromed T Eye Drop. For using Fluromed T Eye Drop tilt your head back, look up, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch and place a drop of this medicine in the pouch.

Can I stop using Fluromed T Eye Drop when my symptoms are relieved?

No, do not stop taking Fluromed T Eye Drop and finish the full course of treatment. Your symptoms may improve and you may start to feel better before the infection is completely cleared. Take your medicine for the duration as advised by your doctor.

Can the use of Fluromed T Eye Drop cause blurry vision?

Fluromed T Eye Drop can make your eyes blurred for a short period of time. Avoid driving or operating machinery just after using Fluromed T Eye Drop.

What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Fluromed T Eye Drop?
