Jo-1 Antibody Serum, EIA test is the recommended first-line test for detecting polymyositis or inflammatory myopathies. Jo-1 antibodies are specific markers for the disease polymyositis and are seen most commonly in myositis patients who also have a severe lung disorder, interstitial lung disease (ILD). It may also be seen in patients with dermatomyositis.
