Information about Mnfol Tablet
Mnfol is a brand of Folic Acid. Folic acid is used for dietary management of low blood cell folate level in certain patients.
Folic Acid is proven to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTDs) and birth defects such as spina bifida and anencephaly by as much as 70 percent if taken at least 1 month before pregnancy. Poor availability of folic acid to the body limits the ability to build and maintain healthy reserves of folic acid and significantly increases the risk of birth defects.
Folic acid is also proven to lower levels of homocysteine - an amino acid linked to cardiovascular disease and more importantly, pregnancy complications. Such pregnancy complications include: preeclampsia, low birth weight, miscarriage, recurrent pregnancy loss and placental abruption.
Use under medical supervision
