Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia

 

Gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) is a type of tumor that a pregnant women may get during her pregnancy. It takes place when a fertilized egg does not become a fetus. GTN is not always easy to find.

Common types include:

1. Benign

2. Malignant

 

 

Common cause of GTN is molar pregnancy.

 

 

You should see your health care provider if you have vaginal bleeding (not menstrual bleeding).
