ANTIMETABOLITES
Antimetabolites are a group of medicines used as chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer. These medicines selectively act against the rapidly dividing cancer cells. They are used to treat cancers of breast, colon, stomach, pancreas, lymphomas, and various types of leukemias. Some medicines of this group are also used as immunosuppressants in the treatment of conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, etc.
