ACTH

This group of medicines is similar in function to a hormone known as ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic hormone), which regulates steroid levels in the body. These medicines are used for the treatment of infantile spasms (types of seizures in babies) and to test the functioning of the adrenal glands.
