OTHER LAXATIVES
These are a group of medicines prescribed for the treatment of constipation. Some of these medicines are also used to treat people with irritable bowel syndrome in whom constipation is the main complaint. They work by drawing water into the intestine, thereby making the stool soft and easier to pass.
