HORMONAL CONTRACEPTIVES SYSTEMIC
These are a group of hormonal medicines used to prevent pregnancy in women. They are also helpful in other conditions like painful or irregular periods, Premenstrual syndrome (PMS), endometriosis, postmenopausal osteoporosis, etc. They may also be used for hormone replacement therapy. Some of these medicines can be used as emergency contraceptives after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure.
