AC Mox Tablet is a medicine used to reduce pressure in the eyes. This pressure can be caused by or lead to an illness called glaucoma. If the pressure in your eye is too high it can damage your sight. AC Mox Tablet works by decreasing the amount of fluid inside the eye.

Product introduction

You can take AC Mox Tablet with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well.

The most common side effect is headache. Other side effects include feeling tired, dizziness, and taste change. Make sure you read the leaflet that comes with your medicines and tell your doctor if you are bothered by side effects or they do not go away. It may be possible to adjust your dose or try a different medicine. It is also reported to cause choroidal effusion (fluid buildup between the choroid and sclera.) or choroidal detachment (separation of the choroid from the sclera due to fluid accumulation) in some people. If you experience such reactions, inform your doctor.


Avoid using of this medicine if you have a known history of allergic reaction to any of the components of this medicine. Let your doctor also know about all the medicines you are taking to make sure it is safe for you. Additionally, let your doctor know if you have kidney or liver disease, heart trouble or diabetes before taking the medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine as it may cause hamrful effects to the mother or the developing baby.

How to use AC Mox Tablet

How AC Mox Tablet works

AC Mox Tablet is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works in glaucoma by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

AC Mox Tablet reduces the pressure inside the eyes, known as intraocular pressure. This helps to reduce the risk of damage to the optic nerve responsible for normal vision. If the pressure in the eye is not controlled, it can gradually lead to blindness. AC Mox Tablet effectively controls ocular hypertension and certain types of glaucoma by decreasing the pressure in the eyes.
You should not take AC Mox Tablet if you have or ever had cirrhosis, severe liver or kidney disease, an electrolyte imbalance, adrenal gland failure, or an allergy to AC Mox Tablet or sulfa drugs. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or are breastfeeding to avoid any harmful effect on your baby.
AC Mox Tablet is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using AC Mox Tablet too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.
No, you should not stop using AC Mox Tablet suddenly without talking to your doctor. This is because if you stop the medication before completing the treatment, your symptoms may return or even worsen. Use AC Mox Tablet in the dose and duration advised by your doctor to get maximum benefit of AC Mox Tablet.
If you forget a dose of AC Mox Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, take it in the regular schedule instead of taking the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
