Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER

Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER may be taken with or without food but it should be taken at the same time each day. Your doctor will prescribe the dose most suitable for you. To gain the most benefit and to treat your symptoms effectively, you should not miss doses, even if you feel well. It may take a few weeks to notice an improvement in the symptoms but keep taking them regularly.

The most common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, upper respiratory tract infection, and fatigue. These risks are higher when you first start taking this drug. If these side effects worry you or do not go away, call your doctor for advice.

Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER should not be taken by women or children. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or liver or kidney disease. This medicine may not be suitable for everybody. It can also affect, or be affected by, other drugs. So let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. You may be advised to wear a condom during sex if your partner is or may be pregnant. Your doctor may recommend getting your blood pressure checked frequently. Avoid drinking alcohol as it can cause excessive dizziness with this medicine.

• Treatment of Benign prostatic hyperplasia

• You have been prescribed Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
• Take it exactly as advised by the doctor.
• To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
• It may cause dizziness or blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
• Do not use Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER if you have recently taken nitrates (medicines used in angina or chest pain), if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months, or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months.
• You have been prescribed Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
