Appavisc HV PFS is an eye lubricant or artificial tears used to relieve dry eyes. This can happen because not enough tears are made to keep the eye lubricated. It helps to soothe the irritation and burning seen in dry eyes by maintaining proper lubrication of the eyes.

Appavisc HV PFS is usually taken when needed. Use the number of drops as advised by your doctor. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering any other medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken before you open it. Always wash your hands and do not touch the end of the dropper. This could infect your eye. This medicine may require long-term use and can be taken safely for as long as you need it.

The most common side effects of using this medicine are blurred or altered vision, and sometimes pain in the eye. Let your doctor know if you experience these symptoms but they are usually temporary. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires clear vision until you are sure you can do it safely. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or if the side effects bother you.

This medicine is not likely to affect or be affected by other medicines you use but tell your doctor if you have ever had glaucoma. Appavisc HV PFS is suitable for use with all types of contact lens.

How to use Appavisc Ophthalmic Solution

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

What is Appavisc HV PFS?

Appavisc HV PFS belongs to a class of medicines called eye lubricants or artificial tears. It is available as eye drops. It is used to soothe irritation, burning and discomfort of dry eye conditions. One may experience such conditions because of deficient tear production, infrequent blinking, smoke, wind, pollution, extended use of computer screen or television, medical treatment or dry atmospheric conditions. Appavisc HV PFS may also be used to aid insertion of lenses or to make the lenses more comfortable while wearing.

Use of Appavisc HV PFS should be avoided in patients who are allergic to Appavisc HV PFS or any of its components. However, if you are not aware of any allergy or if you are using Appavisc HV PFS for the first time, consult your doctor.

What are the side effects of Appavisc HV PFS?

You may experience visual disturbances and eye discharge while using this medicine. Some other side effects of this medicine include redness of the eye, eye irritation, burning and discomfort, eyelid swelling and itching of the eye. If any of these side effects bother you, please consult your doctor.

How should Appavisc HV PFS be stored?

Store at or below 25°C and out of the reach of children. Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface or eye(s), Replace the cap after every use. Remember not to use the eye drops after the expiry date or after 30 days of opening it.
