How Bevac Injection works
Bevac Vaccine is a combination of two vaccines: Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) and Aluminium Hydroxide which prevent Hepatitis B, and Thiomersal as the preservative. Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) vaccine helps develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections. Aluminium Hydroxide is an adjuvant which enhances the effectiveness of Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) vaccine.
Quick tips
- Bevac Vaccine is given to prevent infection due to hepatitis B virus.
- If you have an illness causing a high temperature, it is best to postpone vaccination until after the illness.
