Chlorovue Eye Ointment is strictly advised to be used only on the skin. Apply it only on the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands. You must use it as advised by the doctor. Wash immediately if there is accidental exposure of it on the eyes or mouth. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better, this ensures a complete cure of the infection. Commonly seen side effects seen with Chlorovue Eye Ointment include temporary application site reaction (burning, itching, and redness). Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before using it. This medicine should not be used for longer period without consulting your doctor.

This does not directly kill the bacteria, but prevents them from increasing in numbers, and eventually clears up the skin infection.

- You have been prescribed Chlorovue Eye Ointment for the treatment of bacterial skin infections.
- It should be applied to the affected areas, two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
- Don't use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if your skin problem hasn't improved after seven days of treatment.
- Treatment should be continued until at least two days after the condition has resolved.
- Don't apply it to broken skin and take care to avoid getting it in your eyes, nose or mouth.
- Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
- It may cause temporary burning, itching or a redness at application site. This is usually mild. Consult your doctor if you experience a more severe reaction.
