Product introduction

Cipalis-D Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Complete your dose even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may bring back the infection.

Use of this medicine may cause irritation and discomfort immediately after instilling the eye drop. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.

Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.

Cipalis-D Eye Drop is a combination of medicines, Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the growth of the bacteria that is causing the infection. Dexamethasone helps relieve symptoms such as pain, redness, itching, soreness, watery eyes or ear discharge caused due to eye/ear infections

The dose and duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor based on your condition. Make sure you complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

How Cipalis-D Eye Drop works

Cipalis-D Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic which prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. This treats your eye infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

  • Cipalis-D Eye Drop is used for the treatment of bacterial infection and inflammation of the eye.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
  • Do not touch the tip to any surface to avoid contamination.
  • Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication to avoid dilution.
  • It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
  • Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
  • Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if your condition hasn't improved after seven days of treatment.
  • Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

Yes, Cipalis-D Eye Drop is safe for most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause some unwanted common side effects like eye irritation, eye discomfort and other uncommon and rare side effects. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem due to the medication.
Before using ciprofloxacin, inform your doctor or pharmacist about any allergies you might be having. Let him know if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones (e.g., levofloxacin, moxifloxacin). This product may contain inactive ingredients (such as preservatives like benzalkonium chloride), which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.
Yes, the use of Cipalis-D Eye Drop can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.
If you are putting in more than one drop or more than one type of eye drop, wait for five minutes before putting the next drop in. Doing this will allow the first drop to get absorbed into the eye.
Usually, Cipalis-D Eye Drop starts working soon after applying it. However, it may take some days to kill all the harmful bacteria and make you feel better.

Hello, it could be allergic reaction or local injury which is leading to red eye. Wash the eyes properly with cool water thice daily. If redness persist put Toba eye drops 1 drop in each eye every 8 hrly for 3 days.
