Colahyal Capsule

Colahyal Capsule can be taken with or without food. You should use it regularly at a fixed time each day. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug. Do not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop.

The medicine is generally well-tolerated with little or no side effects. However, it may cause injection site reactions such as pain, redness, and swelling in some people. Let your doctor know if you experienced any such side effects. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects.

Before using this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders. To make sure the medicine is safe for you, let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. You may need frequent medical tests to check your kidney function and mineral levels while on treatment with this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

Colahyal Capsule is a combination of three medicines: sodium hyaluronate, chondroitin and collagen peptide which relieve osteoarthritis symptoms. Sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid which reduces the friction in the joints and helps them to work smoothly. Chondroitin and collagen peptide are proteoglycan synthesis stimulators which help in the building of cartilage (soft tissue around the joints) leading to joint repair. Apart from this, collagen peptide also lowers pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
