Product introduction

Costrim V Tablet is to be used as per dose and suggested by your doctor. This medicine is only for vaginal application. You must wash your hands before and after using it. It is best to use this at bedtime regularly to get the most benefit. If there is any accidental exposure of the medicine to the eyes or mouth, you must wash immediately. For better efficacy of the medicine, the course of the treatment should be completed even if you feel better. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

Costrim V Tablet may lead to a few common side effects like mild irritation and burning sensation at the application site. If these side effects do not improve with time or worsen, inform your doctor. In case of any allergic reactions (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath), inform your doctor immediately.

Before using it, tell your doctor if you have an underlying disease or are taking medicines for any health condition. The medicines that are used externally usually do not get affected by other medicines, however, you should let your doctor know if you are taking any medicines to ensure safety. Ask your doctor for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. During the course of the treatment, you must follow proper personal hygiene for a faster recovery.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

How Costrim V Tablet works

Costrim V Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tinidazole and Clotrimazole. Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.

Quick tips

  • It is inserted into the vagina using an applicator, usually at night before going to bed.
  • Avoid contact with your eyes. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
  • It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy.
  • It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away.
  • Inform your doctor if your condition does not get improved within 3 days of taking the medicine.

Costrim V Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
If a single dose of Costrim V Tablet is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.

It seems you have developed an infection. Wearing loose cotton panties help avoid infection. Also keep the area down there clean and dry and wash only with V wash or clean and dry and not soap. Drink lots of water.If it does not help, it might need antibiotics
