Dulonor-P Tablet should be taken on empty stomach, but try to have it same time regularly at a fixed time preferably at night. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. Lifestyle modifications like avoiding stress, smoking, and processed food items may help this medicine work better.
Few common side effects of this medicine include weight gain, slow heart rate, tiredness, depression, drowsiness and cold extremities. It may cause sleepiness so try not to drive or do anything that requires mental focus or rise slowly while from sitting position. The drug has the ability to hide the symptoms of the blood sugar level, hence monitor your blood sugar level regularly as well as blood pressure while taking this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney, or depression disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.

How Dulonor-P Tablet works
Dulonor-P Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Propranolol and Flunarizine, which prevents migraine. Propranolol is a beta blocker and Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker. They work by stabilizing the reactive nerve cells and increasing the threshold to migraine activation. They also inhibit cortical spreading depression (CSD- electric waves that move across the brain and cause pain and inflammation).

Frequently asked questions
Use of Dulonor-P Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with allergy to any of the ingredients or excipients of this medicine. This medicine contains propranolol, so its use should be avoided in patients with asthma, slow heart rate, abnormal heart rhythms, or heart conditions like AV block or sick sinus syndrome. Since this medicine also contains flunarizine, the use of this medicine should be avoided in patients with the history of depression or Parkinson's disease.
Keep Dulonor-P Tablet in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
Dulonor-P Tablet is given as a prophylactic treatment for the prevention of migraine headaches. Do not stop taking this medicine until advised by your doctor as it may cause your migraine episodes to return. This medicine contains propranolol and a sudden withdrawal of propranolol may cause sweating, shaking, irregular or fast heartbeat, worsening of underlying angina or heart attack. You must take Dulonor-P Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor.
No, Dulonor-P Tablet does not help in relieving a migraine headache that has already started. It can only be used for preventing any new episode of migraine headaches.
