Emefast-O Tablet is a combination of two medicines which is used in the treatment of nausea and vomiting. It is used only when prescribed by a doctor. This medicine works by controlling the acidity and altering the chemicals in the brain that trigger nausea or vomiting.

Product introduction

Emefast-O Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it on an empty stomach, but try taking it at a fixed time each day. Remember you should not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor. In case you vomit within one hour of taking a dose, then take another dose and avoid heavy meals throughout the day. Before taking this medicine, it is better to inform your doctor if you have any liver disease as the dose of your medicine may need adjustment. Your doctor may regularly monitor your liver enzymes, especially when the medicine is prescribed for a long time.

It is a well-tolerated and safe medicine and has a very low incidence of any harmful effects. But, it may cause certain side effects like constipation, stomach pain, fatigue, headache, flatulence, and flushing of skin. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you.

This medicine may cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help prevent dehydration. However, it is better to consult your doctor if you get watery diarrhea with fever or stomach pain that does not go away. Dizziness and sleepiness may also occur, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.

It is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused due to some medicines or cancer treatment. It is also effective at preventing nausea and vomiting after an operation (in adults only). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but always take this medicine as it is prescribed.

Emefast-O Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Emefast-O Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease. Limited information is available in patients taking this medicine for more than one day.
