Product introduction

You can take Ethamax TD Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. It should be taken on first day of the periods to get the most benefit. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor.  Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by the doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Remember to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Inform your doctor if you do not observe any change in periods even after 3 consecutive periods.

The most common side effects of this medicine include headache, vertigo, nausea, sinus pain, sinus inflammation, rash, tiredness and musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain. It is advised to consult with your doctor if you do not notice any changes in periods after 3 consecutive periods.

Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any kidney problems or vaginal bleeding disorder. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking. You might be asked for blood pressure and eye check-up while taking this medicine. It is advised to avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.

Menstrual pain
Ethamax TD Tablet relieves the pain due to muscle cramps during menstrual cycles (periods) and also controls excess menstrual bleeding. It relaxes the muscles and prevents sudden contractions (spasms) of muscles. This treats your pain and discomfort and reduces the risk of excessive loss of blood due to menstruation. You may also use a heating pad, take a hot water shower, avoid stress and try mild exercise for easing out the pain.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Ethamax TD Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Drotaverine, Ethamsylate, and Tranexamic Acid.

  • Ethamax TD Tablet is prescribed to reduce pain and excessive bleeding during menstruation.
  • Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
  • Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
  • Along with taking Ethamax TD Tablet you can use a heating pad or try gentle massage and relaxation techniques to get relief from menstrual pain.
