Filariasis
Filariasis is a disease caused by round and thread like parasites. These parasites infect human body through the opening created by mosquito bites. How Florocid Injection works
Florocid Injection is a combination of two medicines: Sodium Fluoride and Procaine which treat filariasis. Sodium Fluoride kills the worms that cause filariasis. Procaine works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain.
Quick tips
- You may experience pain at the injection site, tingling sensation, feeling of numbness. Contact your health care provider if these side effects bother you or do not go within a couple of days.
- You are advised to take Florocid Injection for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- It is best to consume a balanced diet, which is high in nutrients and very less in refined sugars/ processed foods during the treatment.
