Fludot 0.5mg Injection helps to reverse the effects of benzodiazepine toxicity such as reduced breathing, confusion, lessened alertness, bluish doscoloration of lips, etc. Fludot 0.5mg Injection is given as an injection by a doctor or a nurse and should not be self administered. If you are a caregiver to a person who is on benzodiazepines, you need to be trained well by a healthcare professional to administer Fludot 0.5mg Injection in case there is an emergency situation and you do not have access to medical services immediately.

How Fludot Injection works

Fludot 0.5mg Injection is an antitode, which is used to reverse the effect of medicine “benzodiazepine” given during surgery for sedation. It blocks the action of benzodiazepines by acting on GABA receptors, thereby reversing the sedation effect.

  • Fludot 0.5mg Injection is given to reverse the actions of benzodiazepines (sedatives) on the central nervous system.
  • Your doctor should be informed if you have epilepsy and have been taking benzodiazepines for a long period.
  • Avoid taking any over-the-counter medications for at least 24 hours, especially if you still feel sedated.
  • For at least 24 hours after you leave the hospital or surgery center, do not drive or do anything else that requires you to be awake and alert.
