The most common side effects of this medicine are diarrhea and abdominal pain. They are temporary and usually resolve with time. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. This medicine may also cause diarrhea, so it is better to take plenty of fluids while taking this medicine as it may help to prevent dehydration.

I have acidity problem for around 5 years.Tried other pathy medicines but of little use.I used to get acid reflux in the night around 2am to 3am.sleep is disturbed due to hot sensation in throat ,with feeling of acidic liquid going towards nostrils ,and vomiting sensation with vomiting .After i was prescribed Ranitidin 150 around 7 to 8 months ago one tablet before bedtime now everything is under control.but now i cannot avoid the tablet.without the tablet symptioms reappear ,cannot sleep properly,either vomit or go on drinking water to subside symptoms thereby forgoing sleep .There is not much of a problem mansging the daytime.Can i continue to take above medicine for how long.?
