Product introduction

Hi-Cuf Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects are nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, sweating, skin rash, tremor, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make sleepiness worse.

Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.

Hi-Cuf Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms. Also, steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus oil can loosen mucus and reduce congestion and coughing.

How Hi-Cuf Syrup works

Hi-Cuf Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Bromhexine, Salbutamol and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus.

Drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost from sweating and having a runny nose, get plenty of rest, eat healthily ? a low-fat, high-fibre diet is recommended, including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. OTC drugs, gargling with salt water and sucking on menthol sweets can help relieve a sore throat and blocked nose, are generally safe for older children and adults to take, but might not be suitable for babies, young children. Avoid applying Vicks VapoRub to babies and toddlers.You should never give children under 4 years of age over-the-counter cough and cold products without checking with your child's doctor. These medicines may harm young children. There are many underlying causes of cough and cold. Different cause needs different treatment. Specific treatment cannot be given unless we establish exact underlying cause. Final and perfect diagnosis cannot be done without doing clinical examination of patient.
