Meclisafe 50mg/5mg Tablet SR is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, dryness in the mouth, headache, and fatigue. These are usually mild and disappear after a short time. Consult your doctor if they persist. This medicine may also cause sleepiness and drowsiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.

If you feel dizzy while getting up from the bed, sit for a while and then rise slowly to avoid having an accidental fall.

You have been prescribed Meclisafe 50mg/5mg Tablet SR to relieve vertigo (dizziness) and feeling of nausea, vomiting associated with it.
Take it at the same time each day to maintain a steady amount of the medicine in your body.
Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
Do not take it for longer than 7 days without consulting your doctor.
Meclisafe 50mg/5mg Tablet SR can only decrease the number and severity of attacks but may not completely stop them.
Before taking Meclisafe 50mg/5mg Tablet SR inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcer or asthma.
