Uses of Moxene Tablet
- Respiratory tract infection
Benefits of Moxene Tablet
Respiratory tract infection
Respiratory tract infections are those infections that can affect the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs. Moxene 500mg/8mg Tablet contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Bromhexine, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Bromhexine helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.
It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How Moxene Tablet works
Moxene 500mg/8mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Bromhexine which treat respiratory tract infections associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Amoxycillin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Bromhexine enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxycillin.
