Mozyflex 400mg Infusion is given as an injection into a vein (intravenous), in cases where oral administration is not possible, such as in hospitalized or unconscious patients. It is administered by a healthcare professional. Kindly do not self-administer. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Some people may have a headache, dizziness, nausea, and diarrhea as side effects of this medicine. You may also notice some injection site reactions like pain, swelling, or redness. These are usually temporary and resolve on their own, but please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.

You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Special care should be taken in people with kidney problems while taking this medicine.

How Mozyflex Infusion works

Mozyflex 400mg Infusion is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.

Quick tips

You have been prescribed Mozyflex 400mg Infusion for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication.
Do not touch the tip to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
It may cause short-term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines.
Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up.
Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the medication.

Kidney

Mozyflex 400mg Infusion is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Mozyflex 400mg Infusion is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION

Mozyflex 400mg Infusion should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mozyflex 400mg Infusion may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Mozyflex 400mg Infusion in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
