Product introduction

Nacfil Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Dissolve the tablet in a glass of water and drink it immediately. Take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

The most common side effects of this medicine include fever, nausea, vomiting, rash, and gastrointestinal discomfort. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Generally, it is advised to drink plenty of fluids while on treatment with this medicine.

Before taking this medicine let your doctor know if you suffer from asthma, as close monitoring is required while taking this medicine. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Nacfil Tablet can be given to a pregnant woman if the benefit of this medicine is more than the risk involved. Evidence shows it can be used in pregnant females without any gross risk to the fetus in the womb. Consult your doctor before starting the medication.
The duration of treatment with Nacfil Tablet will be decided by the doctor. It will depend on the type of disease for which it has been prescribed. For respiratory conditions, it can be taken for 5 days and can be further extended to 2 weeks depending upon the condition of the patient.
Medicines like Nacfil Tablet are not recommended to be used in children under 2 years of age. This is because the medicine works by dissolving the mucus which can cause a block in the breathing airway, and children below 2 years of age may not be able to clear it or cough it out properly.
