Product introduction

Otek AC Ear Drop is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine must be applied only to the affected ear. Use for as long as the doctor has prescribed. Wash your hands before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

Generally, this is a safe medicine. However, it may cause mild and temporary irritation in the ear. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or worry you. If you experience any allergic reaction (rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc.), you must seek immediate medical help.

It also blocks the release of chemicals that cause symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling and ear discharge. Therefore this medicine relieves the inflammation due to these infections. You should use this medicine for as long as it is prescribed, even if your symptoms disappear, otherwise they may come back.

How to use Otek AC Ear Drop

How Otek AC Ear Drop works

Otek AC Ear Drop is a combination of two medicines: Benzocaine and Chloramphenicol. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

  • Avoid contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
  • Do not touch the tip of the dropper to prevent contamination.
  • Stop using medicine and inform your doctor if you notice a rash, burning sensation or allergic reaction.
