Product introduction

Polycap Capsule should be taken with or without food, preferably in the morning to avoid frequent urination at night. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise and not smoking may help this medicine to work better.

Constipation, indigestion, abdominal pain, and cough are some common side effects of this medicine. Regular monitoring of kidney function is required while taking this medicine. This medicine may cause dehydration, so it is better to take plenty of fluids. Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness, or dry mouth. Dizziness may occur initially, but it gets better with time. It may also increase your risk of bleeding, hence be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, or using sharp objects.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Benefits of Polycap Capsule

Prevention of heart attack and stroke
Polycap Capsule is a combination medicine that is used to prevent heart attack and stroke. It contains Ramipril, Atenolol and Hydrochlorothiazide, that together relax the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily and also eliminate the excess salts from the body. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. It contains Simvastatin that reduces the amount of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and raises the amount of “good” cholesterol (HDL) in your blood.
Besides, it also contains a blood thinner, Aspirin, that prevents the formation of blood clots and also prevents the existing ones from growing bigger in size. Take it regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine. Keep taking it even if you feel well.

How to use Polycap Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Polycap Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Polycap Capsule works

Polycap Capsule is a combination of five medicines which include three blood pressure lowering medicines (Ramipril, Atenolol and Hydrochlorothiazide), a lipid lowering medicine (Simvastatin) and an anti-platelet medicine (Aspirin). Together, they lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, optimize cholesterol levels by decreasing “bad” cholesterol (LDL), and prevent the formation of harmful blood clots (platelet aggregation). This reduces the risk of heart diseases and stroke.
