How Rufenyl Patch works
Rufenyl 25mcg Patch is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. It works by decreasing the perception of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain.
Quick tips
- Rufenyl 25mcg Patch helps relieve severe and long-lasting pain that is not relieved by other pain medications.
- Apply it to a clean, dry, unbroken, non-irritated area of skin. Replace it every 3 days, and apply on a different area of skin to prevent skin irritation.
- Do not expose it to a heat source such as heating pads or hot-water bottles as this may increase the amount of medicine absorbed by your body leading to increased side effects.
- It may cause dizziness, sleepiness, and headaches. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- It has a potential for addiction and may cause severe, potentially fatal side effects in an overdose. Take it strictly as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not drink alcohol or take other medicines that can cause drowsiness while using Rufenyl 25mcg Patch.
- Discontinue the medicine and inform your doctor immediately if you experience difficulty in breathing.
