Product introduction

Salivary Spray should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. You should not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine.

How to use Salivary Spray

Hold the container with the extension tube aimed at the area of application. To spray, press the button. Allow a 2 second gap between two consecutive sprays. Use it as advised by your doctor or also check the label for directions before use. Salivary Spray may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Salivary Spray works

Salivary Spray is a combination of seven medicines. Carboxymethylcellulose increases the viscosity of the saliva that helps to lubricate the mouth. Sorbitol is an artificial sweetener that is added to enhance the taste of Salivary Spray. Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Chloride and Potassium dihydrogen phosphate are minerals, they protect and strengthen the teeth and gums.

  • You have been prescribed Salivary Spray for the treatment of dry mouth.
  • Apart from using Salivary Spray, sip water or sugar-free drinks or suck ice chips throughout the day to moisten your mouth, and drink water during meals to aid chewing and swallowing.
  • You can also chew sugar-free gum or suck on sugar-free hard candies to stimulate the flow of saliva.
  • Breathe through your nose, not your mouth, and add moisture to the air at night with a room humidifier.
  • Limit your caffeine intake because caffeine can make your mouth drier.
  • Completely stop smoking or chewing tobacco.
