How Sepgard AR Gel works
Sepgard AR Gel is a combination of two medicines: Centbucridine and Feracrylum. Centbucridine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases pain sensation. Feracrylum is an incomplete ferrous salt. When applied to fresh abrasions, it stops oozing of blood. It does so by activating an enzyme (thrombin) which promotes clot formation.
