Tena Cid Syrup is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Indigestion means discomfort of mainly the upper part of your stomach which may also have other symptoms such as stomach pain, bloating, feeling full etc. Tena Cid Syrup improves the movement of food in your stomach and gut (intestine). This relieves these symptoms and helps in proper digestion of food. Take Tena Cid Syrup as prescribed by the doctor. Think about what foods trigger indigestion and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3-4 hours of going to bed.

Tena Cid Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Magaldrate and Dimethicone. Magaldrate is an inorganic salt that neutralises the excess acid in stomach. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Tena Cid Syrup helps relieve acidity and indigestion.
It should be used only for occasional relief from increased stomach acid. Do not take it for more than 2 weeks, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor.
Inform your doctor if you show signs of appendicitis or inflamed bowel (such as lower abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, nausea, vomiting).
Avoid taking Tena Cid Syrup at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
Incorporate the folowing lifestyle changes in order to prevent indigestion:
1. Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.
2. Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.
3. Lose weight if you are obese.
4. If you are a smoker, consider giving up.
5. Don't drink too much alcohol.
6. Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
