Product introduction
Ulceheal Gel is for local application only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying it on the affected area. Please consult your doctor if your symptoms do not get better. It should not be taken by patients who are allergic to it or are less than 16 years of age. It should not be applied to open wounds. Burning sensation and application site reactions might be seen as side effects in some patients.

How Ulceheal Dental Gel works
Ulceheal Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves mouth sores. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the mouth.

- Ulceheal Gel is prescribed for the treatment of mouth ulcers.
- Avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth.

- Using a clean finger to massage the gel onto the sore area, not more than once every 3 hours.

This medicine should be used only inside the mouth. Take a small amount of Ulceheal Gel over a cotton swab and apply a uniform, thin layer of Ulceheal Gel over the affected area. Avoid rubbing the area as it may irritate the ulcers.
No, you should not swallow Ulceheal Gel. Just apply a thin layer of Ulceheal Gel over the affected area in the mouth with a cotton swab.
You can see an improvement in your ulcers within 7 days. However, your doctor will decide the exact dose and duration of your treatment depending on your condition. Follow your doctor’s instructions to get the maximum benefit of Ulceheal Gel. Moreover, if you do not find a considerable improvement within the prescribed duration, consult your doctor. It is important to know if your symptoms have worsened with time then stop the medication immediately and consult your doctor.
It is advisable not to wear dentures while applying Ulceheal Gel. You can apply the medicine onto the sore area, and leave at least 30 minutes before reinserting the dentures.
Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks, and very salty foods (such as crisps) which can make the pain and sting worse.
Along with using Ulceheal Gel use a soft toothbrush, avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying this medicine, avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth and stop smoking completely.
There is no definite cause behind mouth ulcers. Some of the factors include biting the inside of your mouth; food sensitivities to acidic foods like strawberries, oranges, pineapples; lack of essential vitamins, especially B-12, zinc, folate, and iron; dental braces; using a toothbrush with hard bristles and certain medications.
