Vertizac Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor and preferably at a fixed time each day. Some common side effects of using this medication are dryness of mouth and stomach pain. To overcome dryness, it is advised to drink more water, always carry sugar candy or maintain oral hygiene. It can cause dizziness and sleepiness as well. So, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Usually, it is advisable to avoid alcohol while taking the medicine.

Before taking this medicine, it is better to inform your doctor if you are suffering from peptic ulcer, asthma, or low blood pressure. Vertizac Tablet helps treat this sensation effectively. If you feel dizzy while getting up from the bed, sit for a while and then rise slowly to avoid having an accidental fall. It will be more effective if you take this medicine regularly as prescribed so try not to miss doses. It may take a couple of weeks before you notice any improvements but keep taking it, even if you do feel better, until your doctor advises it is safe to stop.

How Vertizac Tablet works

Vertizac Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. Cinnarizine is a calcium channel antagonist which works by preventing constriction of the blood vessels of the inner ear. This improves the microcirculation of the ear. Dimenhydrinate is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) that is responsible for light-headedness in vertigo.

Visit the nearest emergency department if you accidentally take too much of this medicine. Symptoms of an overdose may include tiredness, pupil dilation, unable to urinate, dry mouth, flushing, fast heart rate, sweating, headache, dizziness and shakiness.

What if I miss a dose of Vertizac Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Vertizac Tablet, you should skip the missed dose and take the next dose at its usual time and quantity. You should not take a double dose of Vertizac Tablet to make up for a missed dose.

Can I stop taking Vertizac Tablet if I feel well?

You should not stop taking Vertizac Tablet until your doctor asks you to. If you stop taking Vertizac Tablet earlier than advised, the symptoms of vertigo may reappear (dizziness and spinning).
