Product introduction

Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops is to be used only in the affected eye. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Do not use too much or too little. Use it in the exact dose as prescribed by the doctor or as instructed in the label. 
Use of this medicine may cause discomfort, irritation, and burning sensation immediately on instillation. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.
Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.

Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops is used to treat infections in the eye or ear caused by bacteria. It stops the growth and multiplication of bacteria causing infection and helps relieve pain, swelling, redness, itching or irritation in the eyes or ear. It also gives relief from teary or watery eyes. Make sure you complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning. Apply Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops atleast 2-3 times in a day or as prescribed by the doctor.

How to use Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops works

Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of four medicines: Boric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Sulphacetamide and Zinc Sulfate. Boric Acid and Zinc Sulfate are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eyes and relieve irritation. Sodium Chloride works by preventing the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Sulphacetamide is a purified salt solution which works by drawing out water from the swollen cornea.

Quick tips

  • Your doctor has prescribed Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops to cure your eye/ear infection and improve your symptoms.
  • It should usually be used twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
  • Wash your hands first before applying Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye/ear or any other surface.
  • Do not use the medicine for a longer time without doctor consultation.
  • Make sure not to use the open bottle for more than 4 weeks.
  • Use Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops twice a day (in the morning and evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest that you use this medicine up to four times a day.
  • To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway on to some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
  • Along with using Zincoren Eye/Ear Drops, give warm compress to your eyes/ears to get relief from itching and other discomfort.
  • Take care as not to spread the infection from one eye/ear to another and to other members of your family. Washing your hands regularly (particularly after touching your eyes/ears) and not sharing towels or pillows will help prevent the infection from spreading.
