Albumin is used for short term fluid replacement after trauma and nephrotic syndrome.
How Albumin works
Albumin contains human albumin, a natural protein in blood. It works by replacing the blood or body fluids lost due to excessive bleeding, surgery, or kidney dialysis.

Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Fever, Chills, Nausea, Vomiting, Anaphylactic shock, Heart failure, Pulmonary edema, Hypotension (low blood pressure), Tachycardia, Urticaria, Rash, Headache
