Chlorthalidone+Metoprolol Succinate+Telmisartan is used in the treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure).

How Chlorthalidone + Metoprolol Succinate + Telmisartan works

Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate, while Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels.

You have been prescribed Chlorthalidone + Metoprolol Succinate + Telmisartan for the treatment of high blood pressure.
Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack.
It may cause more frequent urination. Take it at least 4 hrs before bedtime to avoid waking up to urinate.
It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
Chlorthalidone + Metoprolol Succinate + Telmisartan may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.
