Diclofenac diethylamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Alcohol acts as an analgesic and anesthetic and can reduce the sensation of both physical and emotional pain.
