Moxifloxacin+Dexamethasone+Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is used in the treatment of Bacterial eye infections.
How Moxifloxacin + Dexamethasone + Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose works
Moxifloxacin + Dexamethasone + Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a combination of three medicines: Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Moxifloxacin, and Prednisolone. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic which prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. This kills the bacteria that cause eye infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation and make the eyes red, swollen and itchy. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eyes.
