How Salicylic Acid + Urea works

Salicylic Acid + Urea is a combination of salicylic acid and urea. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medication. Expert advice for Salicylic Acid + Urea

  • Before you apply Salicylic Acid + Urea, wash the area with any medicated facewash and water and gently dry it with a towel.
  • Apply Salicylic Acid + Urea to all of the area where your acne is present and not just to each acne.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and genitals. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Salicylic Acid + Urea may make your skin sensitive to sunlight. Use protective measures, like sunscreen or wear protective clothing.
  • Inform your doctor if you notice unusual dryness, redness, and peeling of the skin.
  • Do not apply to open wounds or irritated skin.
  • Do not use urea in large amounts or for a longer duration than recommended.
  • Continue with the treatment as long as prescribed by your doctor. The most common reason for treatment failure is giving up too soon, thinking that the treatment is not working. However, if your skin has not improved even after completing the prescribed time, consult your doctor.
