Frequently asked questions for Timolol + Oxychloro Complex

Always wash your hands before (and after) using Timolol+Oxychloro Complex. This prevents you from passing the infection from one eye to the other. Remove the cap just before using your medicine and replace it as soon as you have finished. Avoid touching the nozzle of the bottle with your fingers. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid with a clean finger. Hold the bottle over the eye and allow a single drop to fall into the space between your lower lid and your eye. Close your eye and gently press your finger over the inside corner of your eye (over the eyelid) for about a minute. This helps prevent the drop from draining out of the eye. Repeat in your other eye if your doctor has told you to do this.
Ideally, you should use one drop in each eye, two times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. If the eye pressure is maintained at satisfactory levels, the dosage schedule may be changed to one drop once a day in the affected eye(s). Do not change the dosage without consulting your doctor.
When you instill the eye drops for the first time, it can make your eyes watery and may sometimes cause blurred vision. If this happens, it will quickly clear. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive, or use tools or machines.
Although rare, headache is one of the side effects of Timolol+Oxychloro Complex. You may ask your doctor to recommend a suitable painkiller. If the headache continues, speak with your doctor.
You should contact your doctor immediately if you develop swelling in the eyelids, eye pain, dry eye(s), foreign body sensation in the eyes, headache, and discharge from the eyes. Also, inform your doctor if you had or have any scheduled eye surgery.
If you usually wear contact lenses, do not wear them while you're using Timolol+Oxychloro Complex. You can re-insert the lens 15 minutes after using Timolol+Oxychloro Complex. Contact your doctor if there is any eye irritation that persists.
Always consult your doctor before using any other eye drops along with Timolol+Oxychloro Complex. It is advisable to give a gap of at least 10-15 minutes between the two medications.
Use of Timolol+Oxychloro Complex should be avoided in patients who are allergic to it or any of its components. However, if you are not aware of any allergy or if you are using this medicine for the first time, consult your doctor.
