- It makes you feel sleepy. Take it in the evening or before you go to bed.
- To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- It may temporarily cause dry mouth and stomach upset. Drink plenty of water and eat more high-fibre foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables.
- Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Trazodone affects you.
- Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts or behavior.
- Inform your doctor if you get an erection that lasts longer than four hours while taking this medicine.
- Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may increase the seizure frequency.
