What does Tuberculosis DNA PCR - Qualitative, Sputum measure?

Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis mainly affects your lungs but can affect other parts of your body such as the brain and spine. Mycobacterium Tuberculosis DNA PCR-qualitative test is used to detect the presence of the bacteria causing tuberculosis in sputum. In this test, you need to give your sputum sample of three consecutive days for the detection of mycobacterium tuberculosis.
