Biofolic DHA Tablet is a brand of Levomefolic acid, Mecobalamin and DHA. It is a nutritional supplement for pregnant females to be taken during their first two trimesters.
Levomefolic acid (Form of Folic Acid) is proven to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTDs) and birth defects. The limited absorption results in a significant reduction in the amount of folic acid made available to the body limiting the ability to build and maintain healthy reserves of folic acid and significantly increases the risk of birth defects.
Levomefolic acid (Form of Folic Acid) and methylcobalamin is also proven to lower levels of homocysteine - an amino acid linked to cardiovascular disease and more importantly, pregnancy complications.
