D-Peg Oral Solution

D-Peg Oral Solution combines polyethylene glycol to manage constipation, potassium chloride to manage low blood potassium levels, sodium bicarbonate for heartburn relief, sodium chloride to regulate water balance, and sodium pico sulphate as a stimulant laxative for constipation relief. Each component serves a specific purpose, addressing gastrointestinal issues and electrolyte balance.

• Polyethylene glycol: It is used to manage constipation. It works by causing water to be retained in the stool. This increases the number of bowel movements, softens the stool and makes it easy to evacuate

• Potassium chloride: It helps manage low blood levels of potassium

• Sodium bicarbonate: It helps relieve heartburn, sour stomach, or acid indigestion by neutralising excess stomach acid. It may be used to manage the symptoms of stomach or duodenal ulcers

• Sodium chloride: Electrolyte that controls the quantity of water in your body. It plays an important role in transmitting nerve impulses and muscle contractions. It is used to manage sodium loss caused by dehydration, excessive sweating, or other causes

• Sodium pico sulphate: Helps relieve constipation and difficulty with bowel movements. It is a stimulant laxative, which induces a laxative effect

Directions for Use:

• This product must be diluted with water before use

• Adults and children above 10 years: Add 25 ml of D-Peg solution in 100 ml of water (to make a total volume of 125 ml) and to be taken once daily. This may be increased to 2-3 doses daily, in divided doses according to the severity of constipation

• Children aged 4 to 9 years: Add 12.5ml of D-Peg solution in 50mL of water (to make a total volume of 62.5ml) and to be taken once daily. This may be increased to 2-3 doses daily, in divided doses, according to the severity of constipation
