Capagin Tablet can be taken with or without food. Depending on the severity of your underlying illness, your doctor will decide the precise dose. You should take the medicine regularly while you do need it and try not to miss doses as it will become less effective.

Using this medicine may cause insomnia, restlessness, and sleepiness in some people. If you experience any of such side effects that do not go away or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms.

Before using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any other illnesses or disorders. Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended.
Call your doctor if your symptoms have not improved within seven days of treatment.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for cold.
Along with taking Capagin Tablet do the following simple tips at home to get relief:
1. Steam inhalation.
2. Gargling with warm saltwater.
3. Apply vapor rubs on chest, back if needed. Take enough rest.
4. Take warm food and fluid only. Ensure adequate fluid intake.
5. Advise hygiene measures to reduce spread: frequent hand-washing, avoiding sharing towels, pillowcases, etc.

Breast feeding

Larger doses or prolonged use of Capagin Tablet may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Driving

UNSAFE

Capagin Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Capagin Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Capagin Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Capagin Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION

Capagin Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Capagin Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Capagin Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
