Hyocimax-S Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach or at least 30-60 minutes before a meal. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine should be taken at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you are also prescribed with antacids, then maintain a gap of at least 1 hour between two medicines.

Constipation, dryness in the mouth and headache are some common side effects of this medicine. Most of these usually go away within a short time. If you are bothered by them or they go on for longer, talk to your doctor or nurse. It is advisable to stay hydrated or drink plenty of fluids to overcome mouth dryness and headache. You should not drive if this medicine makes you feel dizzy.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney disease or have history of ulcerative colitis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

Hyocimax-S Tablet is used to treat peptic ulcers. It reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes which prevents further damage to the ulcer as it heals naturally. Can I take Imodium/ Bentyl/ Percocet with Hyocimax-S Tablet?

Concomitant use of Hyocimax-S Tablet with Imodium (loperamide), Bentyl (dicyclomine) and Percocet (acetaminophen + oxycodone) can cause harmful drug interactions and should be avoided. Please inform your doctor about all medication you are currently taking to avoid any harmful drug interaction

Does Hyocimax-S Tablet cause or stop diarrhea?

Treatment with Hyocimax-S Tablet may be helpful in controlling diarrhea associated with bowel spams; however, it can aggravate constipation. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience diarrhea as a side effect of Hyocimax-S Tablet treatment

Does Hyocimax-S Tablet help with gas/ nausea?

Hyocimax-S Tablet may provide relief from gas or nausea if they are symptoms of intestinal bowel syndrome or other gastrointestinal problems for which Hyocimax-S Tablet is given as a treatment. Nausea is also a common side effect of Hyocimax-S Tablet treatment
