Inditel D Capsule SR is a combination of two medicines. It helps to control high blood pressure in different ways. If high blood pressure is not treated it can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure.

Product introduction

You can take Inditel D Capsule SR with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.

The most common side effect is dizziness. Other side effects nausea, diarrhea, back pain, headache, and cough. Frequent urination is not a side effect of this medicine. It is the purpose of indapamide and helps control your blood pressure. You may experience other possible side effects, but most are rare. Make sure you read the leaflet that comes with your medicines and tell your doctor if you are bothered by side effects or they do not go away. It may be possible to adjust your dose or try a different medicine.

This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and you should ask your doctor before taking it if you have kidney or liver disease, heart trouble or diabetes. Drinking alcohol can further lower your blood pressure and may cause side effects.

How Inditel D Capsule SR works

Telmisartan and indapamide which lower blood pressure effectively. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. Indapamide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Yes, the use of Inditel D Capsule SR can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some people. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it would be best to take rest for some time and resume once you feel better.
The use of Inditel D Capsule SR is considered to be harmful for people with known allergy to any of the components of this medicine. It should preferably be avoided in people with severe kidney or liver impairment and in people with anuria (reduction or absence of urine). It should also be avoided in women who are in the second and third trimesters of their pregnancy.
Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose the unused or expired medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
Even if your blood pressure is successfully lowered by this medicine, it is advised to continue your medication. If you stop taking Inditel D Capsule SR, your blood pressure could rise back up again. Remember, by keeping your blood pressure controlled you are reducing your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.
You should not stop taking Inditel D Capsule SR without talking to your doctor. If you do stop taking it, your blood pressure may rise and you may put yourself at greater risk of having a heart attack or a stroke. Therefore, it is advised to continue your medication for the prescribed duration. If you experience any persistent side effects, talk to your doctor.
Inditel D Capsule SR is generally safe to take for a long time. Some blood pressure medicines work best when they are taken for a long time. If not sure, consult your doctor.
Usually, treatment with Inditel D Capsule SR is long-term and may even be for the rest of your life. Talk to your doctor in case you have any concerns regarding Inditel D Capsule SR, but do not stop taking it without consulting the doctor.
High blood pressure does not usually have any symptoms, so you do not feel ill if there is any change in the blood pressure. Therefore, these tablets may not make you feel “better”. Stop smoking and alcohol consumption as this helps in lowering your blood pressure and preventing heart problems. Exercise regularly and take a balanced diet that includes whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables and fat-free products. Persistent high arterial blood pressure above 120/80 mm HG is termed as pre-hypertension or hypertension, but the point to be emphasized is that this rise in blood pressure is persistent.
