Frequently asked questions

Pegclear 8.5gm Powder is a medicine used to treat constipation and for intestine preparation before surgical procedures. It works by pulling more water into the intestines, which is called osmosis. When there is more water in the intestines, the stool becomes softer or even watery and is easier to pass.
The side effects of Pegclear 8.5gm Powder are stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea. However, these are usually not bothersome, but if they do not resolve, please consult your doctor.
Pegclear 8.5gm Powder usually takes 2 to 3 days to start working. It works by increasing the fluid in the small intestine, thus making stools softer and easier to pass. As a result, a bowel movement is stimulated by causing a watery diarrhea.
You must take a fiber-rich diet such as vegetables, fresh fruits and whole grains if you have constipation. Drink plenty of water and avoid taking alcohol. This will ensure that your stools are soft and easy to pass. You may also take laxatives or fiber supplements if you are facing issues with digestion. If still your symptoms do not improve, please consult your doctor.
It is advised not to take Pegclear 8.5gm Powder for more than 7 days days. If your symptoms do not improve within a week, please consult your doctor.

Patient concerns

Give your child more fluids. Drinking enough water and other liquids helps stools move more easily through the intestines. Serve more fiber. Make sure kids get enough exercise. Develop a regular meal schedule. Get kids into the habit of going. Many factors can contribute to constipation in children, including: Withholding. Your child may ignore the urge to have a bowel movement because he or she is afraid of the toilet or doesn't want to take a break from play. Some children withhold when they're away from home because they're uncomfortable using public toilets. Painful bowel movements caused by large, hard stools also may lead to withholding. If it hurts to poop, your child may try to avoid a repeat of the distressing experience. Toilet training issues. If you begin toilet training too soon, your child may rebel and hold in stool. If toilet training becomes a battle of wills, a voluntary decision to ignore the urge to poop can quickly become an involuntary habit that's tough to change. Changes in diet. Not enough fiber-rich fruits and vegetables or fluid in your child's diet may cause constipation. One of the more common times for children to become constipated is when they're switching from an all-liquid diet to one that includes solid foods. Changes in routine. Any changes in your child's routine ? such as travel, hot weather or stress ? can affect bowel function. Children are also more likely to experience constipation when they first start school outside of the home. Medications. Certain antidepressants and various other drugs can contribute to constipation. Cow's milk allergy. An allergy to cow's milk or consuming too many dairy products (cheese and cow's milk) sometimes leads to constipation. Family history. Children who have family members who have experienced constipation are more likely to develop constipation. This may be due to shared genetic or environmental factors.
